Music & Art Education

Cultivating Creative Minds is a non-profit organization in Santa Clarita that provides our students with once a week class focusing on visual arts, music, instruments, dance and theater. PTA funds, $10,000 + per year, to make this a school year long program for Sulphur Springs students.

Technology

SSPTA purchases and maintains technology for our students, including the computer lab, classroom chromebooks and IPads. SSPTA also funds access to many of the online tools our teachers use, including Imagine Math, Imagine Learning, Reflex Map and Brain Pop at a cost of $25,000+ per year.

Science Lab / Makers Space

SSPTA purchases supplies, equipment and experiments for the science lab and makers space, $1,500 +.

Class Field Trip Transportation

SSPTA pays transportation costs for all classroom field trips, $2,500+ per year.

Student School Supplies

SSPTA purchases teacher requested supplies for each student to be ready for them on the first day of school, $4,000+.

Education Enrichment Assemblies and Events

SSPTA pays for educational school-wide enrichment assemblies and theme weeks, including Red Ribbon Week.

SSPTA organizes and pays for education enrichment family events, including math, literacy and art nights.

Library

SSPTA provides the library with additional support funds, $1,000 + per year.

Education Enrichment Programs

SSPTA organizes and hosts the Reflections program at Sulphur Springs, which encourages creativity in students and promotes artistic expression.

SSPTA organizes and hosts the Young Authors program at Sulphur Springs, which publishes student work and promotes literary expression.

Community Building Events

SSPTA organizes and hosts several community building events for the entire family to enjoy, including Fall CarnivalFall Socialand other family events

SSPTA organizes several community support programs, including a Holiday Food and Gift Drive that supports 20+ Sulphur Springs families, and Say Yes to the Dress that allows students to select dresses at no cost.

Playground Equipment

SSPTA purchases recreational equipment for the playground.

Campus Beautification

SSPTA funded and implemented through vendors and volunteers a playground and bathroom beautification project.

SSPTA funded the installation of hooks for student backpack organization.
